Hi, I'm Evan Carr.
I'm the creator of this guide, but more importantly, I'm a hiker. I've been fortunate enough to explore trails all over North America, from coastal paths to rugged mountain peaks. My real passion, however, lies with our National Parks. I am an avid National Parks enthusiast and have visited 24 of them so far, with a lifelong goal to experience every single one.
Why Angels Landing?
Out of all the trails I've hiked, Angels Landing holds a special place in my heart—it is my favorite hike. I hiked this myself, and I'll never forget the feeling of stepping onto that narrow spine, pulling myself up by the chains, and finally reaching the summit to see that incredible 360-degree view of Zion Canyon. It's a unique combination of physical challenge, mental focus, and breathtaking reward.
That experience inspired me to create this site. I wanted to build a comprehensive, no-nonsense resource that gives fellow hikers the information and confidence they need to tackle this adventure safely and respectfully.
